Including I-beams, ¾”, and ½” bar stock and primarily ¼” and ½” plate steel for hull construction. Piping - all sizes including marine exhaust, water supply, drainage, discharge and engine and power plant plumbing. Electrical - panels, circuits, conduit, wire, switches, and light fixtures. Plumbing - marine fixtures, sinks, water storage, heaters, and wastewater holding tanks. Fuel tanks, flex hose and tubing. Power Plant - generator set. Main diesel engine. MMI Superyachts: METALCRAFT MARINE, Inc. (MMI) MetalCraft Marine, Inc. (MMI) was originally incorporated in 1978 in Ventura, California to build quality custom steel-hull boats for the commercial fishing industry. Today, the principles Timothy Alls and Terence Kelly are primarily involved in the design and fabrication of 90’ and larger luxury “superyachts”. MMI has designed and built 26 steel-hull trawler and luxury yachts up to 110’, and currently have 5 luxury superyachts under construction in the shipyard, each scheduled for completion this year. In 1993, MMI moved to their current location on the shores of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. With 28-years of boat design and building experience, MMI has developed an excellent sales record and well-earned reputation for superior construction of an exclusive all steel-hull craft. Each vessel MMI builds shows the companies pride, using their unique design and solid steel-hull construction to meet the demands of today’s luxury yacht buyer. MMI is proud to be one of only three other yacht builders in the US developing steel-hulled luxury yachts. Each craft is constructed using the company’s signature steel-hull design, which has remained the hallmark supporting their quality name in luxury yacht design. Steel-hull construction is considered vastly superior to fiberglass and is less costly to maintain or to sustain damage from marine hazards and potential marine incidents while at sea or shore. MMI employees the finest workmanship in yacht building using renewable raw materials when ever possible. Selecting solid woods and veneers for all custom built cabinets, wall paneling, and floors. Utilizing non-endangered woods, primarily from Central and South America such as solid Cherry floors, closets, and cabinets. Utilizing natural solid surface granite for galley and head countertops, custom corrian showers, and tubs tooled by skilled shipbuilders. Galley appliances include upgraded top brands built-in with a gourmet chef in mind. MMI Vision: Even though MetalCraft Marine operates a “for contract” design-build luxury yacht business for their customers and clients, the goal of Equity Services LLC, is to expand MMI's business to build speculative superyachts for market. With adequate funding the business model looks to begin by procuring the partially completed 108’ steel-hull from the estate of a former customer who passed away before completing the vessel named, Sojourn and a second unfinished Catamaran Steelhull vessel. MetalCraft Marine had begun building Sojourn prior to 2002. However, the unfinished steel-hull and superstructure have remained mothballed in the shipyard since September 2004. Our customer had invested more than $2M to build the hull, which was approximately 40% complete when all work stopped. The vision of MMI is to acquire the Sojourn and a Catamaran hull at a discounted price. Equity Services LLC can provide the funding so that MMI can complete the necessary modifications and outfit both craft ready for a speculative market in less than 12-months. MMI has wanted a place in the speculative yacht market for the past several years but lacked the funding to reach this goal. Equity Services requests $20,075,000 in funding to purchase the two unfinished steel hulls and begin a third craft to be ready for market within 6 to 12 months, as well as the funds to begin construction on two more speculative craft next year. Upon funding, MMI will immediately move Sojourn and the Catamaran hull back into production and outfit both craft while also starting design and construction on a third speculative vessel. Marine survey places the market price of each completed craft at between $6M to $7M. |
